Well hello to all from WA, just thought i'd say hi.
Great site already got a heap of info from the very knowledgable people out there cheers.Now setting up a 4 foot tank for some plecos, not sure which
number yet and was wondering to gravel or not to gravel,to wood or not to wood,etc etc.
Got the filter and the rest under control, and i know it depends on which
L number but must be some sort of a guide line.Any help to a newbie much appreciated.:woohoo:

Welcome to the planet. There seems to be a few members here from the west.
Most plecs like a bit of wood in their tank, whether to munch on or to hide in/under, plus of course it looks good.
As for substrate it's personal choice really. If it's a breeding tank that will be full of fry then often it's easier to go bare bottom just for the sake of cleaning but otherwise the fish don't seem to mind too much either way.
