ok guys and girls i need you help to convince the wife to let me breed corys!:dk:

I HAAVE JUST GOT A 330LTR new tank my old was a 180ltr and i still have that , which still is occupied. I also have a 1ft 30ltr tank and a 2ft 90ltr tank 24x15 x 18''

can i breed any cory in any of these tanks?
how often would water changes need to take place on the cory suggested?
What filter requirements?
What light requirements?
What substrate?
What heat?
what everything bascially so i can go to the boss with all the answers prepared for battle! lol:yes:

The 30 ltr is a bit small but do-able...The rest would be fine.
Once a week waterchanges should bo ok unless you are feeding heavy.
Normal tank lighting will suffice.
I always use a filter that will cope with double the tank volume.
Sand substrate is best.
24-26c is fine until corys are ready to breed, then add a cold water change to stimulate spawning.

agree with Derek.
I would also buy a spawning mop for the cories to lay the eggs on. You will then need a seperate tank to place the eggs into, as otherwise they will eat the eggs. cheers jk

hey JK thanks for the extra info... could i use the 30ltr tank ( 30cm square) for the eggs? I take it they need the normal extra air flow? Also never ever heard or used a sporning mop...can you educate me abit on that?
