Help me I found eggs!

I received a message this afternoon from my bf saying that there were eggs on the side of the tank that were small and whitish in colour.
I assume that they are cory eggs?

How do I save them? There's about 15 of them in total (they're laid in two places) and it looks like I've already lost a few.

This was the last thing I was expecting so I'm completely unprepared.

Sounds like cory eggs :) Just roll them off gently with your finger, some use a blade but I'm not good with one, if they are still sticky you can place them onto the side of a plastic tub with an airstone or if you have a fine mesh net breeder stick them to a leaf and pop it in there, if they don't stick to anything try to keep them aerated and clean. They hould hatch within a few days if they are fertile, and when the egg sac is used feed them on baby brine, micro worms or even fine grade baby powdered food or liquifry if its available in aus.

What corys do you have?

I just have 2 pepper corys. I might have to stick them onto a little rock and put them in a fry trap with a stocking around it. lol. That's the best I have. I'm sure I'll have plenty of air hose to run an airstone to it.

Congrats.....Ok Ok firstly don't panic, a normal old plastic tea strainer with a bit of styro foam stuck onto the hooks of the strainer, will do the trick placed over sponge filter bubbles or pop an airstone under it...& they should be fine...

I'm going to buy a mesh fry trap tomorrow because at the moment all I have is a plastic one but I've had problems in the past with babies getting out of the holes in the sides.
I found 7 good eggs, but I dropped two...so I have five. The rest I saw had already been picked at. I've got them in the fry trap with an air hose, but I haven't got a spare stone, which I will also be buying tomorrow. lol
I told you I was unprepared!

i hope all is well,
you were beter off rapping your stocking around your plastic fry saver!
if it fit that is

fingers crossed for you

p.s if you wish for more success in eggs being fertile i would suggest you purchased 1 more male for they are much better in trio's of 1 female 2 males

i dont alow any air to hit eggs use the air to create water flow over and around the eggs if that makes more sence

I never planned on breeding them at all.
I had one cory for ages from my old tank, and I bought it a friend when I set up my new tank just for some company. No idea how to sex them or anything. I guess I just got lucky if they're fertile..

hi and congrats. All the tips below are correct. Eggs come off as you by now know, do not get air on them, transfer them under water, place and airstone under them to keep them rolling, they usually spawn after a water change. I also agree 2-1 or 3-1 ration for them. cheers jk

Congrats on your Corys spawning C8lyn and hope the eggs will hatched for you soon.
Fertile eggs should be transparent or light colored at first and become more darken as they develop. You should see the embryo become visible on the third day and depending upon the species and the temperature, the eggs will hatch in about 4 to 8 days time. While the infertile eggs will develop a white spot in the middle of the egg on the second day and should turn completely white on the third day.Good luck with your new corys eggs.

Thanks! It's day two and they are a yellowish colour. I s'pose that's better than white? Lol
On my way to the shop now to get a better fry trap and some new air stones.

Hey c8lyn, wow must be something in your water! i breed pandas.
The eggs will turn dark if they are fertile.
Mine hatch in about 4 days, at a temp of 26c.
They look like tiny tadpoles at first  feed them on a powder food like hikari first bites or something. Goodluck with them.
Any questions just ask :)
