help needed popeye in german ram

snails died i didnt notice since 2 were up top alive today rams eye was fine just seen it now bam popeye did water change added sale but have no meds wat to do now ?

want to kinda nip it in the butt quick !

More water changes. Have you checked the parameters?
How much of a water change did you do?

i did about 35-40% added another filter for bio load i also have a metro table should i add it

No worries, water changes will help and if you have another tank then you could move affected fish, if no change then I read somewhere that an epsom salt bath could help.

Whats a metro table? metro tablet?

no mate. The eye wont go back in straight away.

I had good result with Triple-sulfa.
Just quarantine the fish and add triple-sulfa.
After 3 days, do 40-50% water change and put carbon in.
If successful, the eye should go in a little depending on how bad the pop eye is

okay this is what i done
went to the store got epsom salt came home put 2 flat tea spoons in a 600ml container and place the fish in it for about 15mins did another wc on its tank and popped gim back in

i realise now that his eye wont go back in and that is very upseting
i have been doing some reading its fluid behind the eye

what is Triple-sulfa

he is in a 2.5x2x2 letres of water sorry whats that 150lts or so ? tank what should be the dose of Triple-sulfa and could i leave the female in with him ?

If its a bacteria infection then triple sulfa may work but pop eye can also be caused by a problem with the water which you have experienced. Good clean water and good diet would be a good start to sorting it out, however if you see no improvement then medicate.

it is 100% from bad water due to the apple snails dieing that i had no idea about i have no idea what triple sulfa is but im going to get some soon and treat it just incase il be doing 2waterchanges a day till i think water is 100%
