hi all really need some advice right now!!!!!!!! as time is a big factor so last night a female 333 must of wanted to bred and went into one of the cave but i dont think it went well as when i went to feed them and turn lights off i saw her looking very scratched up. i caught her to have a closer look and she had a faint red marking which i think is blood. so what i did was put her in a breeder box and added some salt and multi-cure. and this morning before going to work i added more salt and a few drops of multi-cure.just came home and she looks even worst the red marking has gone redder ang bigger than this morning and is really weak, to exchange water in the breeder box i added cups of the main tank water into her box but she was floating just from me pouring water into her box. it didnt look right so i nudged her and she didnt even have the strenght to swim away, i thought she was dead but i still saw that she was still breathing but not like normal very weak breathe. i added a few more drops of multi-cure as it kind of looks like the wound is started to fungal up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. my main concern is her breathing and how i can help her.

Wow she sounds bad. The red is either bacterial infection or just plain inflammation.
I am going to add a few drops of seachem prime to enhance the slime coat shortly. Keep the air up to her and pray.

Hi, I would give her plenty of fresh clean water and dont keep adding salt.
not sure what multi cure is but need something that will help prevent infection such as melafix or ESHA 2000

salt is the worst thing... catties as a rule hate salt... no more salt please...
multicures are only for treating something when you have no idea what the heck is wrong....

i get this quite often... sometimes down to the bone almost... i dont take the fish out - leave it in your tank it will learn real quick to stay the heck away from the perpetraitor and just add some melafix and pimafix if you feel its needed...
good water quality on its own and plecos remarkably quick healing properties 99% of the time prove to be the best option for me... i havent lost any females for a long time now...
if adding mela/pima add extra airation too...
fish are in species only tanks with either couple royal whiptails or shrimp or both!!! so nothing will be hovering over an injured cattie
