Help with pleco ID (L106,L122, Some other)?

You would need some better pictures to ID it....... L106 and L122 can be identified by the body height so a picture from above doesn't help to ID one from the other.

if one bought this pleco in a shop, then it is highly probable Guyanancistrus/Pseudancistrus (cf.) guahiborum "L 122" because fishermen catch it in the near of Puerto Ayacucho.
On the other side, Guyanancistrus guahiborum (L 106) is from the upper Ventuari and its tributaries. This is only a place for crazy aquarists.

It was bought from a shop called "Safari Pet Center", they sold him to me as "show pleco". They did not know what it was or where it came from. Looks like he was in some show tank for a while. It is about 4 inches. It starts to be active the evenings even if the lights are still on (he has some kind of internal clock because the tank is far away from natural sunlight). I feed him Nutrafin Bug Bites but I have never seen him eating anything but sucking algae. The food is not there anymore in the morning but I suspect a small ancistrus that I have is probably eating it all. I bought it past 5 February. Maybe he is not acclimated enough to eat.
