Hello:welcome:! I subscribed to this forum because maybe someone can help me!

I have a lovely looking pleco (L083, Sail fin) that needs a home. I've had him for 2-3 months and his name is Leo (i dont know the sex but I think is he), he is living in my 10 G tank with 3 black phantom tetras and 1 rubber lip pleco (very very territorial). Leo is not aggressive and never hurt my other fish, in fact he is the most calm of all. I am looking for a new house for him because at my LFS nobody told me that it will grow so much! I bought my tank 3 months ago and they recommended me Leo for the bottom. I bought Leo with 2 inch, now is with 6 and if what I read is true it will get to 15 in. Unfortunately, I can not change my tank for a bigger one, so I am looking for a new nice home for Leo. Please let me know if you're interested! or if you have any advice!!! I like my fish , Leo looks happy and healthy.. Thanks...

Hello and welcome.

TBH I don't think you will have much success selling a Gibby but as advised above try in the US Section and whichever classifieds you have over there for selling livestock.

Worst comes to worst you could try and return it to the shop you got it for, pretty poor (but usual) advice for a new aquarist.

Good luck

Leo found a home!

Hello dear members!

Thank you for the warm welcoming to the forum... I have good news I posted an adoption message at craigslist San Diego and this was fast. Leo found a nice home in a 120 gallon tank full of algae :D. Since I steel have my rubber lip pleco I think I can participate from the forum :D. My rubber pleco is nothing special when compare with other plecos from forum -but for me is the greatest of all-. This little one is very common at the LFS here in San Diego, the funny thing is that I moved recently to USA and of course I miss my home and my culture a lot. Just after get my fishes I realized that all of them are coming from where I am coming: South America! and my pleco in fact is from Colombia! such a coincidence. He has a lot of personality ... uhmm This weekend after gave in adoption my Leo I bought the last fishes for my 10 G tank ... 3 silver hatchetfish and I loved them .. they are so beautiful! Well this is the first time I am having a tank, and after some mistakes... think I am succeeding.. my nitrate levels are finally oK! and I am loving this new experience! I really enjoy the feeding time. Thanks! Pam.
