Hello all, I am an avid aquarist and planted tank enthusiast. I have always kept regular bn in my tanks and once a few years back scored a when i added a new lady bn to my main tank and she and the male I had paired up and gave me a lot of happy little fry which I then gave away to friends.

My lfs has a limited supply of the 'rarer' plecos, l333 l134 and a few others but they are super expensive. Trying to find a generous person on here with some l134 fry they might be willing to part with...at the right price of course.

Thanks for an informative site

I suck at being active over here. i'm a regular on Aquariumlife as i'm into planted tanks also.

currently my tank is still holding around 6 or so BN fry around 3-4 cm (sold off and gave away around 30 from 2 spawns) and their mum minus the dad who was recently killed (accidentally) by my female pepp.
she had pushed gravel over the entrance to his breeding cave and he died in there (i didnt notice it for a few days) so thats a bummer. also the pepp came from a breeding trio i bought but over the last 6 months the male randomly died and the 2nd female died a month or so after. not sure of the cause there.

i have just also taken an interest over the last few months in cories. got around 15 pygmaeus and 6 sterbai. they are the most interesting personalities in my tank atm. so fun to watch.

hoping the cories will breed at some point.

Tip on breeding cories? Move them overnight to a temporary tank with a spawning mop or anubias on dw. I had a busted tank and they all spent the night with their filters in a plastic box. Next day eggs galore! They never seem to do it in their own tank lol.

Brengun was that using existing broken tank water? I have some satellite breeding boxes, would they work? I could transfer them to another tank but I'd worry the move might do more harm than good. Or is this just needless worry? What about a big water change?

What do you suggest for a spawning mop?
