How long until fry can be put in seperate tank?

I have L260 fry in with the parents but the female has alot of skin damage on the back end of her body so want to use melafix but know i cant with the fry in the tank!

How old must the fry be to be moved?

as long as the tank you are moving them too has an established filter and the tank has been cycled aswell i would say empty half then fill it with main tank water then you could move them at any stage temp would be the same so would everything else

you should still introduce them slowly to climatise them !

get a second oppinion but thats how i move my fry into smaller tanks to grow them

dont think melafix will hurt fry, but might be better to move female to qt tank and treat there?

Moved my L260 fry as Foti described. They were about 10 weeks old at the time and no problems so far
