At what age does a Bristlenose Pleco get full size? And, at which age does a male get his bristles?
the gender can usually be determined of about 6 months of age, there about the 5-6cm mark. the males will have started to develop the bristles of this age if it was fo be a male. both male and female usually reach adult maturity by 11 months. after this, the bristles grow with the age of this fish, as on average they live for roughly 5 years and can grow up to 13-15cm.
