Introducing male to females

Hi everyone,

I've got a male bristlenose whose bristles are developing clearly now in my community tank and 3 good sized plump females in another tank.

I'd like to introduce the male to the females but I'm not sure whether to move the females into "his" tank where there are other smaller bristlenoses and yo yo loaches or move the male into the girls tank which has a large honey gourami in and some pearl danios.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Defninitely move the girls if the male already has a favourite cave in his tank. However, if the male isnt caving yet you might be disappointed with the results - but he may just need a little encouragement from some gravid girls.
My biggest advice would be move any loaches out of the tank that you want to breed in as they love raiding caves and also get into some good fights with male BNs that are sitting on eggs. Also keep an eye on your danio's as I had danio's raid numerous caves of eggs before I figured out why I had no fry after spawns

One problem with the mix of one male to multi females is that once he has eggs he may eat or destroy them to get the next female in the cave
A mix of 2 to 3 seems to work best.
