is moss net safe with plecos?

I was thinking of trying to add a moss net to a wall or rocks in my aqauriums with plecos. Does anyone know if it is safe with larger ones and ones that have rasping teeth like royals? My concern is the could chew plastic before the moss gets growing.

Depending upon what type of netting you use, i've heard of instances where the plecs have become entangled in the netting & passed. If you use rigid plastic with fine openings the dangers should be overcome. I've had moss pieces in plastic netting in with my plecs before with no instances.

If you don't mind the extra expense, and want to be really safe, you can get marine grade stainless steel mesh, a lot of aquascapers use it.

Smaller plecos had been entangled and passed in my tank
After that incident, I removed most of moss nets.

Use gutter guard on the outside will stop most fish from catching thereself on mesh.Only fine mosses require fine netting the fine ones can be secured using 2 overlapped gutter guards just first measure item to be rapped than cable tie 2 section's together.
