is there somthiing wrong with my cory

i have 2 cory catfishes one is full grown and on its mouth it has like the wisker things comming down but the other one half its size doesnt is this normal or did it have fungus and it mouth got eaten away but its been living for months i dont know

They can get worn down by rough substrates or bacterial infections. Its very difficult for them to eat and forage without them.

Is it something you have noticed recently?

I'll second that, there is a chance they will grow back if given good conditions.

ive noticed it for a long time but it still eats it just doesnt have the wiskers like the other one it just has a hole there and white around that

I had exactly the same problem with my cories,and i had similar gravel to you also.I have recently changed it to proper aquatic sand and my cories barbles are all grown back now.

It looks like he has had an infection probably bacterial or fungal

Is he eating ok?

Hopefully, the fact that he is able to eat is good, alot of corys end up not being able to forage and don't eat enough, so keep an eye on him.

it seems like all they want to do is eat those 2 are always together waiting for food

it might grow back because ive ben cleaning the gravel weekly and ive put some anti fungus medicine in there
