Has anyone ever steamed then frozen pumpkin chunks? I do that with zucchini for my bn's. I bought a small pie pumpkin to try it out.

while we're on the subject of pumpkin... does it matter what type it is?
I haven't fed any to my plecs yet. We have been buying butternut pumpkin lately.
What's the nutritional value?

yup thats its:yes:

Mine have butternut squash and quite like it, its fairly hard so may have to blanch it a little. If i remember rightly it is fairly nutritious:yes:

Dont feed too much as it can foul the water. Thats why I prefer butternut as it is harder. Not easy to cut thinly, you need a sharp knife. On a side note it tends to make albino's cats get a nicer colour and my peckoltia's also like it.

Yeah I've heard that it gives them more colour. She's quite yellow as she is so he should look awesome after the pumpkin. Lol
