Hi,

Ive got 2 breeding pairs of L066 (11-13cm) from 2 different people and was wondering if it was a good idea to add 2 more males that i already have 11cm & 16cm) in with them???

They would be housed in either a 6x2 or 3x2...

my view would be if you have breeding pairs, then i would not mix in more males as the males might concentrate more on territorial fighting than chasing females. cheers jk

I had two trios of L066 in a 4ft tank and no one would breed. Not even with a partition separating both trios would they breed.
I moved the trios into 2 3ft tanks and now 20 days later I have fry coming out of a log.

Are u suggesting I should separate the pairs into their own tanks???

Should I add my own males into it???

Same trio now has wrigglers and fry in the log but the other trio hasnt done anything yet.
Thinking the other 3 were too annoying to the 3 wanting to breed and separating was a good thing.
