Hey people,

Just want to double check the guys at the pet store were right. They pulled this guy/gal out of the display tank and believed it to be a L134.
He/She is about 5cm maybe smaller.

Thanks

How come some 134's look like the one pictured and some have broken markings or blotches??? (like a giraffe, so to speak)

Younger ones tend to all start out like that. As they grow, on some, the bands break up. Also some from certain areas are more spotted as adults..

I guess you could say that. Those highly spotted ones are typically thought to come from the Rio Jamanxim. Whether they are simply a strain of P. compta or a seperate species I am in no position to answer but they do breed true.
