:-/ humm, right, and as i am aiming to possibly set this up for an L34, still doing my research , if the tank size is plausable, i will need to go low dec(orations) and try to minimalize as much as possible. If the fit is right for this L#, I was hoping to get a pair, but now will need to do more research and ask more questions before i make any purchases.

thanks D, appreciate and any insight on L34's in this size tank, natural gravel bottom, rocks and slate, perhaps a small bit of wood ?

The filter and tank were free...so... went with what i had. It now has 2 marineland bio-wheel HOB's(free, not my choice) and 2 hydra-sponge filters.
3 fish and it is cycled,(thanks for the advice when i lost 1 hob during the outtage-the microbe lift nite out ll and special blend sped it up) Did the upgrade last week to the 29 ,had some ML leftover, everything smooth ,had a speck of amonia for 2 days, now all settled. If all looks good for the medusa, will be a nice Christmas gift..he knows there will be a new plec of some sort in the 29g
Any pros or cons here appreciated and if anyone is familiar with the L34, would love to know more.
many thanks, Georgie

I haven't kept madusa's for a long time, but the recomended tank is about 200 ltrs...With good filtration and care, which I'm sure you will provide. The 29 gall could/should be ok...The decor you are planning sounds good to me plus a few nice hide-aways.

thanks D-MAC,
can't find ph recomendations for L34, do u know? I know they need warmer water and will upgrade one of the filters in future(not terribly fond of the bio-wheels) and more air stones.

So big question, can i have a pair or just 1 in this tank ?

thanks,
Georgie

I personally would try a pair if breeding is your main goal

thanks, D, no real plans for breeding, just love the look of m/f and prefer to avoiding fighting. If they decided to get it on, guess i would need to do a lot more reading before handing out cigars.

many thanks,
Georgie
