L002 breeding

Hi, I have a trio ( soon to be 5) of l002 and would like any tips on getting them to breed , have a ug filter, sponge filter , airstone and power head in the two foot tank, covered to make it dark and feeding zucchini , hikari wafers and occasional blood worm, water change weekly, temp 26 degrees , any tips be greatly appreciated

Hello,
L002 are wood eaters, so you need a lot of driftwood in the tank as well for them to graze on. I would be cautious of the blood worm and too much protein. I would place your wood in a bucket outside in the sun, fill with water and leave for 6weeks then add to the tank as by then you will have algae etc on the wood. good luck cheers jk :thumbup:

Keep them well conditioned and perhaps bump the temp up a couple of degrees

Thanks I have three pieces of driftwood in there one has a Anubis on it, they on
Y get the blood worm once every week and a half or so, I never see them come out haha, must be at night when I, fast asleep

have they got a good breeding cave , or two?
watch out for males fighting.
when a female is looking plump I would do water changes every other day (of about 20%)
