I have what I believe to be a male Tiger panaqolus/ L002, although I’m not 100% certain.

I was reading that bristlenose plecos only live for 7 years and common plecos live for 15 in captivity, on average.

I’ve had my pleco for almost 10 years now, and had been seeing him in my LFS for a couple of years before I bought him, the owner said he had been there since they opened, which was 7 years before I bought him.

Also, I have read that sometimes L002 are wild caught and sometimes bred in captivity, so if he was live caught then he could be even older!

This makes him at least 15 years old, does this mean he is approaching the end of his life? :< Would be very sad to see him go.
Thanks
