An opportunity has risen for me to get these guys, a colony of 5 . I have wanted these guys for the past 5 years but due to pricing I never had a chance.

anyways I'd like some info on how to care/breed these beautiful creatures. They are going to be from 8-9cm, 3 females & 2 males.

They will be housed in a 6ft tank and probably with a few other small fishes (guppys, otocinclus, neons ect...)

The tank will be near a window seal so lots of natural light but not in direct sunlight so will lighting still be necessary?

-bare bottom tank?

any info on how to care and breed them will be very helpful. I am also not a beginner fish keeper and have bred other plecos before.

thanks.

good water is key. wont need extra light if some daylight unless you want to control the light hours to simulate different seasons. good luck
