Have a look at the link provided, even then it is still very hard to sex at this size.

From my observations there is a good chance of them being a pair as throughout the time I have had them, there has only been one fish that would cave, the other has not caved at all. I know this is not the best way to sex them but at this size its all I have to go by.

I would estimate these fish to be roughly 2 to 2.5 years old.

pity im not local for you... i could sex them much better in the flesh... males have more width in the head region compared to females of the same size.
if you have access to a good macro lense on a camera take some close ups of their bits and if they are male/female you will notice the difference. not really visible to the naked eye.
