My poor little L129 female was bashed so last night I did wc and added Protozin. She didn't look just too bad but overnight either she went back to the male for more or the other two females have taken offence at her as she was shocking this morning.

Photo in tank

I took her out, swabbed off all the loose mucky stuff with Betadine and prepared a quaranteen tank for her with a high dose of Myxazin antibacterial.

I do have some tetracycline antibiotic tabs but they are years old and probably past expiry so will hold off using those.

She appears to be in shock so turned the heat up to 28C and made the sponge filter into a caudron of air output.

I hope she makes it. She's my little favourite L129.

I am spittin! Found another female dead in the males bamboo log and him moved to another log last night.

Bombed the tank last night with Myxazin and BigL wormer just to be safe but today that male will be moved to the Q tank.

That will leave only one last female who was also lined up near the cave to breed and another male who has been hiding in the far end of the tank behind a sponge filter. He's not even game to cave.

Killer male now moved to Q tank.

wow, that is a double bummer , so sorry to hear. Just curious, but does this kind of thing happen often ? Well at this point, moving him was the only thing you could do. Sucks that plecs mating habits are so brutal as it seems.
I feel for you Brenda. Hang in there .
