L134 confused

Im not sure what's going on, I think my L134 pair are confused. My female is always in the cave and she is so fat and my male is always hanging around driftwood and other hiddey holes.

Any ideas what's going on?

All my females cave as well as the males, but I find that with any plecs that the male will leave his cave and invite the female in when he's ready to breed. He's obviously waiting for the female to be comfy in his cave before he will trap her. Also it could be that she is ready and forced her way into his cave but he's not ready yet. Just leave them to it and they will work it out

I have noticed they have trapped a couple off times. I saw once and have noticed a couple of trapping marks on her in the last month bit all healed now. So fingeres crossed I get some eggs.

I have one cave in with the pair and a heap off driftwood and river stones. Should I add another cave? I recently have 3 caves in with them but decided to see how they go with one. They trapped a couple of times

I always supply caves for as many adult fish there are in there and sometimes spare ones too

I might add an extra cave. Hopefully 2 is the lucky number.
