Don't always go by the tails as my male L134 has lost all his hairs since his last spawn in February :dk: its hard to tell between him and my smaller female now :wb:

Thanks for your comments, This is the first two of eight to sex i am looking to split them into two tanks, Fingers crossed i get a good mix of two male six female!!!!!!!!!!!. live in hope.
I have also set up a tank of L270's plus another tank of hypans.????.

im sayin' top one is female, bottom is male, just going by body width/slimness.

i would guess bottom is male from thick pec fin ray. but I find these very hard fish to sex.
