i have a 2ft tank with 2 l144 males 1 around 3-4 inches the other about 2 an half to 3 and 3 females the biggger male out of the two is always in the cave but never seems to be fanning now the little one never caves but 2 of the 3 females are really gravid i would say for the last week they look like there about to explode now neither of the males seem to want to fan is this a problem or will the female just force her self in when the time is right only asking cos dont want to lose 2 nice females due to being egg bound thanks

i would do a couple big water changes over the next 2 days then leave them for a few days and you should be in business.....
yes, they dont have to fan to attract the female. they fan when they have eggs to look after. I agree a big 50-60% water change with water a few degrees cooler than the tank. then turn tank heater off for an hour or two as well.
be careful of any fighting in a 2 ft tank, I assume you have lots of cover?
if no joy breeding soon it may be worth moving one or two smaller males out to another tank if you can as they may be causing distraction.
