Cant comment on L174s but when we bought our L400's they were about 1-1.5".... I've had them years and they are still only about 3-3.5"...

Thanks all :) in comparison to the other hypans I breed these are the slowest I have ever seen but I suppose the fact that the adults full grown are tiny has everything to do with it :)
Natures law big eat little so Nature has to have more little than big.

Cute little buggers.....how big are they? It will be interesting to compair how fast yours have grown to mine...think mine bred around that same time yours did if I remember right.

I only have 3 fry to show after a few spawns, they seem to be so sensitive, and die off after hatching....I left them with the daddy or take them out into fry catcher, results the same.....water parameters similar for L46, Lower xingu sp, L66 and L400, the rest I do not encounter such problems...hiazzz
