Hi everyone :hi:

Just a couple of pictures of my new green phantom. It is about 4" in size and was just wondering if you thought it could be sexed yet? Also would you say it's Hemiancistrus subviridis rather than Baryancistrus demantoides?? Sorry about the quality of pictures but only taken on my iphone !!!

sweet phantom.

surely a Hemi
I would say hemi too. Its my understand that they are quite hard to sex until 3 or 4 years old. My hemi is around 4 and now has some chew chew so I guess he is a male lol.

definitely looks like a hemi, and there are signs of being a male (thicker leading ray on the pectoral, some cheek spine growth), but still too small to say 100%, beautiful fish regardless.
