If from A breeder than not L142 though that was my thought as well. Mouth shot doesnt look like L007 as lip looks a little small & not real frilly. Also would think L007 would be worth more than L201 so breeder woukd make that mistake.

Looks to be a hypancistrus so L201 is a possibility though I can't tell L201, L102 or H. Inspector at that size.

Hi,

... looks like Hypancistrus contradens.

Baryancistrus (L142) and Leporacanthicus (L7) have other teeths / jaws.
Looks like teeths / jaws of Hypancistrus.
(Look also here.
Teeths / jaws of Leporacanticus is similar to Spectracanticus.)
H. inspector (L102) has a black seam on the fins.
Stay Hypancistrus sp. "L 201" and Hypacistrus contradens.
Big Dots, long head -> Hypancistrus contradens.

Greetings
Elko

it looks like L201 to me... i have 007's from juvies years ago and yours is completely different...
looks identical to some big spotted 201's i bred... the big spots dont get a lot bigger as fish gets bigger... good stock to breed from IMO

Wow thanks!

so what does this one eat?
I feel like I'm at a loss and keep trying everything.

I have assorted veggies, algea wafers, and pleco logs.
Forgot to buy the brine shrimp though ...

Any suggestions?
