I have just checked the tank, no white stringy poo. I have put some shelled peas in just in case bloat. To my understanding this one is the male.

could be overfeeding or bloat. try blanched peas or not feeding for a day or 2. Do you feed bloodworm ? make sure they are red and not old and brown. Cant say if it is a male as need a top shot for that as well. good luck cheers jk

looks normal to me, just maturing. the adult male need quite a plump body, he has to be able to fan young 24/7 foe 2 weeks without coming out to eat, so they build up reserves. bloat has more extended tummy.

The photo with the white background was taken around 4/5 weeks ago, the first one in the tank taken 1 day ago.

:)
Thanks all for your input... so male?
