Congrats on your spawn  I would personally leave the eggs with the male if they are all safely in the cave. Any that come out can be popped into the net  good luck with them :)

hi, well done indeed!
the rams are probably just curious and hopeful of dud eggs being kicked out. I am not sure if they will go for the babies as I dont know how big they are, but if you are worried can you move the rams to another tank?
I would still leave the young with dad as long as poss as this avoids the affect of stress on them to move them. and dad makes sure they get just the right amout of water current etc.
you could maybe move to a fry saver when the egg sack is all absorbed if cant move the rams. or just watch as first come out as to whether the rams try to pick on them. but if take wrigglers out too early the distrubance can possibly make dad eat them.

good luck.

The tigers were all gonna be moved to their own tank but they spawned before i coud move them. The rams are very temperamental and it is the community tank.Suppose ill leave with the dad but i dont want to loose any.thx irene for the advice.

Is it possible to divide a section of the tank off with dad and cave in to help protect them if you're worried? I've done this before when swords kept bugging my L134 male when he had fry in his cave

Looks healthy enough Doods:clap:

Keep an eye out for the other fish trying to suck him through the net of the trap. I never got on with that type so switched to the plastic ones

My L134 male doesn't let his fry out till at least 2-4 weeks old so don't give up hope yet of there being any in there :)

yes some fry live off egg sack for ages, then they creep out at night and back in cave in the day, so put some food in last thing at night. plenty of time for them yet.

Good news Doods.

The fry look fit and healthy:clap:

Now you have them in a trap it will be your responsibility to feed them so make you offer fine crushed foods 2 or 3 times a day. Doramin crushed is a good start for them. Clean out any uneaten food before each new feed goes in

Cheers
