low light methods for L tank?

i have 2x2ft tanks under my 6ft cabinet awaiting my L002s and L134s..
i dont want to leAve the tank in full darkness all day and would like to add a single light to each tank.
thinking of around the 20W or less size or even LED. something not too pricey and gives just enough light to see the tank layout.

any thoughts on compact fluros, LED kits, *cant fit a dimmed halogen under 6fter*

all ideas welcome!
will also be needing low light idea for 6fter * no hood *

for the top tank, can you suspend something from the ceiling?

undertanks depends how much head room you have. for breeding some blue leds might be good. if again no hood, you can get small clip on lamps like for nano tanks.
