Hi all,
marine lime sand
No, this is the wrong sort of sand for L333 (or any other plec), this is coral/shell sand and all calcium carbonate (CaCo3), it will give you very hard water with a high pH. It is good for marines or Rift Lake cichlids where you want very hard water, but not for anything else.

You want "100% silica sand" like "Swimming Pool" filter sand, which is inert and won't alter your hardness at all.

cheers Darrel

As Mr d has said any thing with the words lime or marine would make me stop and say no very fast.

Some amazing substrates around right now
I have seen stuff that claims to be from the Xingu ?

Hi,

agree. Do not use this stuff. Go to the local pool shop and ask for silica filter sand, about 15-20bucks for 15-20kg. Wash it and it is great. cheers jk
