Not to often I am given to impulse buys but omg how could I pass up a little white bichir?
I have named him Falkor after after the luckdragon on neverending story.
He has a voracious appetite and I have moved the one juvi angelfish left to another tank this morning.
Falkor ate the other smaller 6 overnight.

How much did he cost? You really don't want to know.

Funny you should say that because the fry when born have their gills on the outside like an axolotl.

Bichirs can breath air too so you don't need a real deep tank for them as they pop up to the surface for a gulp of air every so often.

You do need a heavy tight lid because they can go walkabout.

Size I estimate between 30cm to 50cm depending on tank size, diet and sex.
