Hi all. Does anyone know what the general outcome of mixing species in a say 3 foot tank. I want around 10 of 2 species, but do they act in the same territorial way as plecs or as schoaling fish is this just not likely to be an issue?

Cheers

It's okay mix them together.I have them mix together and i have never observed any aggressions or territorial issues. The differents species will all huddle together like one big family:) One of the most peaceful and harmonious community fish if you ask me.

In my tank, I have the following cories:

2 x sterbai
3 x skunk
1 x panda
4 x bronze
1 x albino
2 x kenai

I think that's everyone at the moment. They do not fight or get territorial and have formed two groups. The bronze and the albino hang together and the others hang together, but sometimes they mix. In a community tank it doesn't matter what mixture you have and if they do interbreed, any other fish in the tank will eat the eggs anyway.

I have 5 corys (3 different species) 1 x Sterbai, 1 x polystictus (many spotted cory),
3 x caudimaculatus (tail spot cory) and as you can see they all happily hang out together
