Mouth Stuck on Angelfish

Well, I'm at a loss on this one. The mouth on my angelfish gets stuck. It used to happen only once in a while but now it's happening constantly (daily). Has anyone ever seen anything like this and is it perhaps caused by a bigger issue? The fish hasn't been right since July and I cannot figure out what's wrong with him! He developed a strange growth next to his eye, that looks like a blackhead pimple (still there since July). Then about 2 weeks ago, his gill on 1 side of his body wasn't opening and closing. When I netted him to put him into a qt tank, the gill started opening again. Since then the mouth problem has become a chronic daily problem. I'm WONDERING if it's remotely possible that he has flukes? I suspect some connection between his gill function and mouth issue, but I could be totally wrong? Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has seen or experienced anything like this before? I did treat him with General Cure when I put him into qt, because it's supposed to work on gill flukes but I don't know if that's whats wrong or if he needs a stronger treatment. Someone said it could be a calcium deficiency.

I spoke with an angelfish breeder and he told me it could be a couple of things. It could be that the fish was locking lips with another fish (that's not it), it could be genetic (I don't think that's it), it could be an issue with hard water (my water is on the hard side, but I've NEVER had a problem with any other fish) or it could be flukes. I'm going to have to go with it being flukes.

The poor thing can't get his mouth right anymore. I netted him and popped it back into place and it popped right back out again. It looks painful.

It's been a week and his mouth is still stuck in the same position. I have netted him and popped the mouth back into place, but as soon as I put him back into the tank it pops out again. The angelfish breeder told me that he has seen this in the past and thought it to be genetic. The fish may have permanantely dislocated the mouth, which is what I think is happening. He still manages to eat though. I ordered pure Prazi Power and I'll try that. I just don't know anymore and I'm getting tired of this hobby.
