Are you sure its whitespot, aka ich?
An often mistaken disease. Especially since you expereinced some deaths within a day. Ich doesn't typically kill som quickly.

hmmm, dont think moving the driftwood would of caused it,
possibly the java moss?

sorry for your lost,
what are your water parameters?
last time i had it with my geos, was when i got those big geos u saw (happened 3months ago)

i used rock salt(from wollies) dosing at 1 tablespoon per 40 litres if you got plecs or plants, if not than 1x tablespoon every 20 litres,
bumped the temp and done water changes every day,
this was in the early stages still, but after 4 days i won.

good luck james

Sorry for your loss :( Really hope the others win, they are such lovely fish! With regards to how you get white spot, I would say most aquariums have white spot (ick) in their tank but usually the fish's immune system can fight it off without showing any symptomatic signs. All it takes is the fish to have a lowered immune system (due to stress, co-current diseases...) and you will start to see the symptoms of ick.

The problem is when you start to see white spots on your fish the disease is already in the later stages and thats why when you start to treat, some fish just don't make it.

You did the right thing by raising the temperature and increasing the aeration. May I suggest though, if you get ick again try doing the previous two thing but before you treat try adding salt to your tank. That way if there is little to no improvement over 3/4 days you can medicate. The problem with medicating straight away is that with such a short life cycle ick can quickly become resistant to medication so veterinarians are strongly recommending medication only be used when all else fails.

Hope they are doing better.
