Look very nice Fred, but hypans, scribbles and me aren't a great combo when it come to id, hopefully someone will help you out.

I just feel like its not what I was told because of the color, but it could just be because of how young it is. I would be a little disappointed given the price paid.

don't know much about your plecs either, but just curious , you said you were concerned because of the color... what color do you mean. I have seen scribble in store tank with brown stripes , rather than the usual black .

"Scribble" plecs are not a single particular plec but rather somewhat similar appearing "scribbled" Hypancistrus. There can be various different plecs grouped in the general descriptive name & some sell for more than others. The black & white ones are usually more desireable like L333 or L066. Many of the species that are more brownish in coloration such as L129 & L199 are more deemed less valuable & sell for lower prices.

I was told it was an L066 which should end up being white and black, but I guess after looking at pictures it will be yellow as a fry.
