ok,got a week off spring break ,so gonna revamp my tank and add the bn. At same time, plan to get some pics of my L128's . What is best way and least stressfull to get them out of the tank ? My hands, tupperware, or what ?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

Just use a net but support the net with your other hand as you lift them out of the water.

For best pics, I use a betta cube as I can get photos from all angles.

To empty the plec from the net, open it and let his nose face the water, he will soon pull his fins in and unsnag himself from the net and pop into the water.

Try to be in too much of a hurry. They can last ages out of the water if needs be.

If you are going to use nets then you are better off with 2 imo, one to guide the fish or plec where you need it and one to catch. For larger plecs I use a 4 or 2 pint milk carton with the end cut off plus a net to guide them into the carton. We always get much better results with the tank lights off. Some people just use their hands but Im not that brave lol

Good luck with catching them! I have to pull apart the whole bloody tank to catch mine sometimes!
The only one I've ever caught by hand was my abn when I moved her from the old small tank to the new one. The tank had a curved front on it which made the net almost useless.
But my plecs seem smarter than the average fish.. Some are predictable and swim straight into the net but noooooo not mine. Stubborn buggers
