Great pick up! That is a great looking piece of equipment, I much prefer sumps over canisters for Bio filtration. how many times turnover will your pump do?

Hello Tener,

The sump is actually a huge cannister trickle filter. It last longer and has a larger bacterial surface, so is over all better. The little tank on the botttom left is used for water changes. Makes it easier. cheers jk

totally still interested - i am planning a 6ft pleco tank in the near future and want use a sump but have only come across plans for them as saltwater tanks... am going to have it built to specs so a hole is no worries... any chance of a little doddle to show me? :)

they are basically same as a salt water one, except you would need no skimmer. Will try and get info to you. cheers jk
