hi everyone! so, i'm seriously considering breeding plecos of some sort. just recently got a 55g two 29s and a few 10s and i'm gathering the rest of the equipment that i'll need in order to breed but holding off on the specifics (substrate and decor) to decide what I want to breed. I've never bred before, and had initially thought about doing cichlids, but there aren't many pleco breeders in general it seems, and i'd like to find a niche in the area that could support itself.
Any opinions on which pleco species would be ok for a beginner to plecos? i have experience with freshwater in general but not with ONLY plecos. I want something that will support itself and i'm not afraid of a challenge! I would also be interested in breeding something that is scarce to help the species.
