Hello all,
I have been keeping catfish of various types for many years now. It all started when a friend who knew i had a tank had to some fry to distribute. I took 2 in and with no experience or idea of what to feed them managed to grow them on to about an inch long (from what were tiny 5mm long fry). Sadly 1 didnt make it, but the other did. Not being used to Pleco's i started doing some more research and was fasctinated when about 2 inches long his head and face seemingly over night exploded with rubbery spikes. You guessed it I had been given some Bristlenose fry...........that was it, i was hooked. Had him now for 6 years and he's still as fascinating to me as day 1.
Moved onto to try breeding Anctistrus, Clown Plecos and also L134's. All currently work in progress. But in my community tank I have 3 groups of Corydoras and they are laying eggs for around 15 days every month for at least the last 2 months. Im learning as I go with mixed sucesses.
One day i'll have the holy grail of a breeding colony of L046's.
Thats just a little about my fishkeeping experiences.
