Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum, and I have a problem and I was hoping that someone could please help me. I have several tanks and have been keeping tropical fish for many years. I am new to breeding and my BN babies keep dying. I have a 30 gal long tank presently dedicated to breeding Bushynoses. There is 0 Ammonia, 5.0 Nitrate, 0 Nitrite, PH 76. I'm doing 30% water changes every other day. I vacuum the sand every other week. I Feed them zucchini, green beans, peas, & lettuce. The babies last a few weeks and then they just start swimming in circles, then die.
Please help!

hello and welcome
my suggestions would be to add a little flake food as well. also make sure plenty of oxygen, so have airstone or venturi running. when you do 30% make sure new water is approx temp of old water so no shocks.
do you have any plants?
I would add a dried indian almond leaf as this is healing and will help lower ph a little, ph 6.5- 7.0 is good.
also dont have current too high as they can get exhausted.
then if none of that helps ...
make sure no small paracites in water by adding plymouth discus wormer. (will kill snails as well)

Thanks for the help, I have a aquaclear filter running and a sponge filter in the tank. I have a large piece of driftwood below the aquaclear's out take to soften the current. I also have a large air stone for extra oxygen. There are no plants in the tank. I will start adding a little flake food to their diet & I'll get an Indian Armond leaf. Where do you buy the wormer product from? Will it be safe for fry? I hope these suggestions help, I feel so bad everytime I find dead babies. :(

yes wormer safe for fry and shrimp but will kill snails, worms, etc.
i buy on line, you may have google for it locally to you.
made by Kusuri.
info:
WORMER PLUS, a Flubendazole based product: Flubendazole 50mg/g is the base product of Wormer Plus, with naturally sourced calcium carbonate 0.01% added as a mixture. It does take longer to dissolve, but with tropical water temperatures, & plenty of aquarium aeration it does dissolve in a short time to be benifitual on a regular basis. The active ingredient Flubendazole is not so agressive as other wormers, and works by gently starving the parasite. Making wormer plus a good choice to use once a month to keep pest at bay if you don’t have a major problem. Wormer plus has been around for ten years, although it did change in 2007 when the new VMD laws came in and is now made by Kusuri.
