Went down to Wharf today, picked up this beautiful plec's:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I know what they were marked up as, anyone care to take a stab at what they are?

id agree on the male being a L262 but not so convinced on the female. it doesnt look like mine, looks more like a L411 IMO

Some better pics could be required but Kev could be right. Looking at the bottom right pic the fish on the right looks abit 411/260ish mixed with 262. I think once they settle you will stand a better chance of id,ing them.

Hmmmmmm didnt someone breed 262 and 260 a while back:hmm:

:yes: your right gee L262 & L260 have been crossed. i thought exactly the same but like you say better pics are needed. will be interesting to see pics of them when settled. The female could well be a cross

id give them a week or so to settle in and then get some shots of them in the tank. Im sticking with L262 for the male but the female the more i look for more i think its not a L262. In the pic it looks a bit stressed and looks pretty much identical to my L411 group, with my L262s even when stressed you can still make out the spotted pattern very clearly, this cant be seen on yours but you can see the striped pattern still common with L260/L411.
