Hi
Are you aware that the profile has no access to the filter from the front? It is a side door, so you need to make sure that you have plenty space at the left hand side of the tank for filter maintenance...It comes with Aqua plus water conditioner and Cycle bacteria additive...Add the Aqua plus to the new water added then switch it all on...Run it for a few hours to make sure that the chloramine is gone then add the first dose of Cycle...After that you add cycle for the next two days at specified dose rate, give it a few more days to make sure that everything is running as it is should be...At this point you should be able to add a few hardy fish to the system, keeping a good eye on ammonia and nitrite levels.
If you are planning adding fish from another tank to it straight away, you will need to add the old filter from that tank into the new one and run them both for a few months.

Nice tank looks slightly more minimalist than a Roma. Always liked Romas still have a 125 unused was very tempted by the Roma 240.

Wouldn't bother with any of those cycling products, have tried them and the best way I cycled a tank was to borrow some filter media from my other filters.

You could fishless cycle if you like could take a few weeks though. If you cycle with fish in there will be some people that may not think it is good practice can be done depending on the hardiness of the fish but personally I would throw some fish food in run the filter for a couple of weeks test the water for ammonia do a water change if OK then add your fish.

Everyone has their own methods though.

yeah that sort of put me of at first but i have the space for it just  none of my fish from my current tank will be transferred for at least a week to 2 however was thinking of getting a few mollies while cycling the tank to help it along then getting rid and tranferring my fish slowly??
