Hi all,

I recently received from my mother a 30l Bio-orb, which @ the time I thought fine a couple Cardinals, and a small pleco.

Now 2 months on I've set up a small breeding tank 4 Cory's. Have put Sterbia in there and will give them a go.

now I'm looking @ a Fluval 240, 260l 120cm tanks purchase towards the end of December (some might say Xmas).

So from small acorns and all that!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive seen in my lfs some Golden Nugget Plecs for £16.99, which seems reasonable (about 5cms in size). And also intend a shoal of Clown Loach, maybe about 12-18, and then adding from there.

Anyways thats me.....

..... Oh Ive kept tropicals for the last 25-30 yrs off and on, but the little bioorb seems to have rekindled my passion for them.

Hey Mike, welcome to Plecoplanet:welcome:

The clown loaches would be ok whilst they are small but they get seriously big and you would probably require a huge tank to accommodate them when adults. Have you looked at all the other types of loaches? there's lots out there that are smaller but equally as cool.

I agree with the others, clown loaches get huge, but don't be disheartened there's so many great colorful options out there.

Hi Mike,
:welcome: to PlecoPlanet :hi:
I also agree with the others,a shoal of Clown Loach that size definitely needed a hugh tank when fully grown. Why not have a group of Gold nuggets Plec and a large shoal of Corydoras Sterbai instead.

Thanks for the Welcome's guys!

I know about the clown loaches, and would move them on as they get bigger, providing they all survive and grow that big!!!!!!!!!!!

However i think they're v beautiful and fun fish.

Until I get the tank nothing is 100% anyway.
