Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to pleco keeping. I'm looking for some advice from you guys. I have just introduced a 7 inch l25 to my 450 liter aquarium. I have some shoaling fish and an l97 and l75 pleco. The problem is that my new l25 is struggling to establish a territory and I've seen fights with the l75. The l75 and the l25 don't worry the l97 because is slightly bigger than them and he seems to be the alpha in the tank. I've added extra hiding placed a caves but he's not really using them. I can't risk my l25 dying and so I'm contemplating moving on the l75 but I don't want to be hasty either. Will a pecking order be decided and will it work with the 3 of them in there ? Or shall I move one one ?

Hi, if there are territorial disputes and the new L25 likes L75 cave, it would probably be best to shift some of the decor around. This is quite common when introducing a new L that they always want a spot that is already taken ;-) it's also best to remember lights out while introducing a new fish an feed the residents at the same time to draw attention away from them!

New to Plecoplanet.

Hi,:hi: L lovers I've never really got into any chat forums before. But as I love plec's I couldn't resist joining fellow plec lovers.:D So I hope to be of some help and to receive advice and ball ideas. I have kept all sorts of fish throughout the years as well as worked in the hobby many years ago mainly in reef keeping. But I've always had a plec tank on the go or breeding them  look forward to chatting with you guys.
Cheers Jay
