Well with a blue led stiplight that came with a new tank, decided to add it to one of the zeb tanks for a bit of night time viewing.
They have been quite active at feeding time with normal white LED and a T5 aswell as during the daytime. But seem not to be so skittish when only the blue lighting is on, do they see best in different wavelengths?
A few pics:
In the last pic the breeding male in the group has one of my newly added massive females trapped with him at the moment, vibrating like crazy and a lot of tail dancing. the female he last bred with is also hanging right next to the cave so could i expect a double spawn? as she is quite gravid, or will she get in there and kick out the eggs so she can lay? or wont the male let her in? Still no results from the trappings in the other tank tho, but i dont expect any as the female isnt gravid yet but that doesnt seem to stop the male trying..
