Not good for tropical fish in some parts of Scotland at the moment due to Hurricane Bawbag...We were very lucky and escaped unscathed, thankfully!

I was at the centre of it, we never had any power outs, though the local wind farm bust into flames, it was an odd one, there was less damage done to the house than by the storms in august (lost half the roof then) but it certainly felt stronger (house felt like it could fall down)

We escaped this time but I am seriously thinking about buying a generator.With 32 tanks I have a lot to lose if it goes pear shaped.

wow you would hate to loose the whole lot. We in SYD had huge storms 2 days ago and we lost power for 4hours. I was starting to panic and in all seriousness, I will be buying a generator, considering you get them for 400bucks, that is dirt cheap compared to our prices of Ls in Australia. I have a genny, never used it but I do use a big double plug inverter and a fully charged car battery. I just run the big 100w airpump for hours if needed.
