Toying with idea of strapping a 2260 to my big tank. Cheapest I found the filter is £180. 2 question's, has anyone found them cheaper(new) and secondly what sort of cost is media gonna run?
Cheers

I have used one

In my opinion your wasting your time using any Eheim media apart from Eheim EHFIMECH. Rough Cost to fill it with EHFIMECH would be at about £ 5:00 per litre with 18 litres volume it would cost around £90:00 Grog Glass would cost £25:00 at most

Filled it with Grog Glass http://www.ketteringkoi.com/acatalog/Filter_Media.html

Could try using old plastic golf practice balls?

The price you have is very cheap, Pipe and taps cost a bomb around £40:00 for one quick release tap.

All in all a good bit of kit

I dont know about the price but your best bet for media is to buy the eheim pro3 2080/2180 media pack for around £70, if you want eheim media that is. I dont know if 4L of efimech and 8L of substrat pro is enough to fill it though.

I use this stuff, is expensive but hey ho:dk: Got it crammed into all my filters now days.
