I have a 2222 pro 2 and a 2224 pro 2. Both filters share the same manual and apart from the canister being slightly taller on the 2224 I don't understand why the 2222 pumps 500l/hr yet the 2224 pumps 700l/hr. Looking at the part numbers they are exactly the same for both filter......so what's the difference?

if the impellors are the same size, then it must be that the motor runs faster on the 2224

It is all down to the amount of water presented
all the eheim range use the same heads for the group ie pro 2 use the same head pro 1 use the same heads for **26 **28 and the same heads for ** 22 **24
The fact that the canister has more water creates a faster flow.

As thr pro 1 and pro 2 push the water from the bottom the more water the more pressur.

In theory yes but many factors control flow rate
Eheim Figures like all others are optimistic.
In general it works with Eheim because they draw from the bottom so water volume has an effect.
